Sparky is Home!!!

Yesterday, we received the phone call we've been all waiting for from a nearby neighbour. After two weeks of searching and hoping, Sparky was finally spotted hiding in the woods a fair distance away from where he went missing. He survived two weeks' of extreme cold, hunger and fear in the wilderness, but now he is home safe and sound.

St. Francis has been watching over him!

Please help us look for Sparky

Sparky is a shy but very friendly dog. He is a 6-year old Collie-mix, with beautiful eyes and a thick rough coat of brown and black, biege chest and paws. He is a large and furry.

He went missing on Sunday, February 3, while playing in the field with his friend Vicki the Rottweiler, a routine activity for both of them. They were ecstatic over the scent of rabbits. We were standing nearby while they played, but oddly enough, only Vicky returned and there were no trace of Sparky.

His disappearance is very mystifying since we were there and did not see him run off. The tracks in the snow seemed confined within our property.

We have been tracking in the surrounding areas since Sunday. Not a trace.

Our property is located on Centreville Creek Road, between King Sideroad and Castlederg, in Caledon. Across from us is a conservation area. Since we do not know which direction Sparky headed (assuming that he was in pursuit of a rabbit), we urge everyone who lives in this area to please check your property and surrounding areas, sheds, garages, workshops, under the porch, etc. Please also keep an eye open for pawprints on your property. He is shy so he might be hiding in your shed, or locked in there!

Please check your properties if you live on:
Centreville Creek Road
Castlederg
Gore Road
Innis Lake Road
King Sideroad
If there is any chance that you think you might have seen Sparky, please contact us.
Sparky was originally rescued from an unkind owner a few years ago, he has a second chance with us and now he is gone. This is most terrible and disheartening. Please help us find him!
